Barbieland Concept Layouts These layout sketches were created as a visual tribute to the Barbie movie’s vibrant world, before the film’s official release. With only early teasers and trailers to guide me, I imagined what Barbieland might look like, blending nostalgic elements with speculative world-building. I drew inspiration from iconic Barbie dreamhouses of the 1970s and 1980s, incorporating the White House (referencing President Barbie), and BAX Airport. Other relatable scenes were layered throughout the layout: a pastel beach with sandcastles, floaties and surfboards, rows of palm trees, and signature Barbie items like her hairbrush and stilettos—all designed to evoke her unmistakable, Barbie-core universe.
