Mai Shiranui

Art Direction for HMO’s Mai Shiranui statue, based on her King of Fighters '99. Collaborated with sculptor Mufizal Mokhtar and concept artist Shawn Ignatius Tan to craft a dynamic composition that balances power and elegance. Dressed in a flowing kimono and wielding her signature fan, Mai is depicted in mid-motion — surrounded by swirling flames and fluttering sakura petals to evoke both her fiery strength and feminine grace. I also designed the packaging to complement the statue’s aesthetic and visual storytelling.
